Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital

Located on the site of the Royal Sussex County Hospital, the building provides a full range of paediatric inpatient and outpatient facilities set over 9 levels. Known affectionately as the Children’s Ark, the building’s design crystallises a number of important themes: the idea of a sustainable community centred on the family, the maritime spirit of Brighton, and the boat-like structural form.
