Kajima, and their partners UD Europe, have scooped the 2017 'Best City Development' award from the OAS for their most recent development, 1 King William Street. THe event was hosted by James Naughtie and held at the Tower of London on Friday 16th June.
The 100,000 sq ft AHMM-designed redevelopment of the former Rothschild HQ was praised by the judges for its intelligent interventions to create efficient Grade A office space behind a listed facade. The building was up against high quality competition including schemes by Derwent London and Skanska. Other award-winners included Land Securities, Great Portland Estates, Apple/Battersea Power Station and Wells Fargo/HB Reavis.

The development completed in Q4 2016 and has been let to NTT and London Executive Offices. Approximately 33,000 sq ft of space remains available on the third and fourth floors, and are being marketed through Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE.
