Investing in alternatives – Is it worth taking the risk?

Thursday 27 February 2020

Property Forum’s event provided valuable insight into the rapidly emerging alternative types of assets in the property market.

Earlier this week, our MD John Harcourt attended the Alternative Investment Forum 2020 in Warsaw, led by Property Forum Events, in which European investors, regional experts and local developers discussed alternative investment opportunities in the property industry.

The event provided valuable insight into the rapidly emerging new asset classes of the CEE property market, looking into the experiences of investors active in these markets as well as where the opportunities and challenges lie.

John sat on the “Investing in alternatives – Is it worth taking the risk?” panel, led by Stuart Osborn from Knight Frank, and was joined by Maximilian Mendel (JLL) and Peter Noack (ZEITGEIST Asset Management).

Alternative investment products are already on the radar of many CEE investors, and Kajima is proud to have concluded the first Student Housing portfolio transaction in Poland with our purchase of Student Depot last year.
